  The estimate was in line with several other companies. What we liked about them was the explanation of how the pavers were installed i.e. the ICPA standard. The other companies also used this installation standard, but Paver Solutions just put more emphasis on it and explained it better. There were some delays getting our job started outside of their control and due to the weather. Once the installation started things went smoothly. After installation I noticed two major issues with installation and a major billing discrepancy. |1) the driveway was crooked. started straight, then after a walkway to the front door all the pavers were shifted one brick (6") over. Their forman's response to this was that the whole driveway was 16' (the other side was shifted also) so it was according to plan. 2) The apron was not installed according to the plan or in conformance with the permit. They claimed that the county changed the requirements and there was confusion and suggested that it look "good enough" so nothing should be done. They were able to get the county to approve it without an inspector on site by sending some pictures to someone they know in the permit office. 3)They overcharged me for the pavers. I ordered grey base and they charged me for white base. They also did not include a 5% angie's list coupon on my final bill and they charged me 4 times what the permits actually cost claiming they used a "service" to get the permits (the contract only called for permit fees, not service charges). They did finally send the correct bill although I had to send a nasty letter to get them to waive the service charge for permits. They also offered to correct the installation issues, but I declined as I did not trust them to take proper care and got the feeling they were reluctantly offering to do so. I did not want someone working on my project that was reluctantly doing so. I would have preferred an adjustment to the final bill, but they would not do that. They also promised to send a lien release after I sent final payment and have not done so.
  Fast forward to today....I previously reviewed this company a little over a year ago when the work was completed. This is a follow up review based on quality issues with the installation. The company will not respond to multiple emails, phone calls and I even sent a letter via snail mail. Less than one year after the driveway was put in, there are very noticeable settled areas of over 1/4" exactly where the tires on my car enter the driveway. Paver Solutions touts their ICPI standards on installation and claims to guarantee the installation for one year. My settling occurred in less than one year and according to the ICPI standards should not have happened at all. I would avoid doing business with this company at all costs. They did not do what they said they would do at the job, the short term quality is poor and they are unresponsive.
